2024 to 2026 Time-Bound Action Plan for Engaging High-Risk Mills

Objective: To ensure and enhance compliance with sustainable palm oil sourcing commitments outlined in Mewah's Sustainable Palm Oil Policy and other related policies listed in Mewah's Public Sustainability Dashboard among all own and third-party high-risk mills/ CPO suppliers over a three-year period.

2 2024 Conduct Baseline Assessments Perform a comprehensive assessment of compliance levels at identified high-risk mills, including desktop audits and site visits. 2 - 4
3 2024 Develop Individual Engagement Plans Create tailored engagement plans for each high-risk mill, outlining specific compliance targets and support measures. 5 - 6
4 2024 Initiate Engagement Start discussions with mill management, presenting findings from assessments and engagement plans. 7 - 12
Year 2: Implementation of Improvement Strategies
5 2025 Training and Capacity Building Implement training programs for the suppliers on sustainable practices, compliance requirements, and monitoring processes. (Both Sustainability & Quality Compliance) 1 - 6
6 2025 Monitor Progress Conduct quarterly check-ins to assess progress on engagement plans and offer support as needed (both hybrid & on-site engagement session). Ongoing throughout Year 2
7 2025 Update Action Plans Revise engagement plans based on feedback and progress assessments from the Year 1. 12
Year 3: Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
8 2026 Conduct Follow-Up Audits/ Assessment Program Re-assess compliance levels at high-risk mills to evaluate improvements and identify ongoing challenges. 1 - 4
9 2026 Share Best Practices Compile and share case studies of successful compliance improvements with all mills suppliers to foster a culture of transparency and shared learning culture. 5 - 8
10 2026 Final Review and Reporting Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing compliance improvements, ongoing challenges, and recommendations for further engagement. (*This report will be shared exclusively with the relevant supplier group). 9 - 12
11 2026 Set Future Goals Based on findings, we will work together with the high-risk mills/ suppliers to establish new goals for ongoing engagement beyond the three-year period. 12
